Ministry of Agriculture and Rural: Routine Monitoring Information on Quality and Safety of National Agricultural Products in the First Quarter

Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs organized the routine monitoring of national agricultural product quality and safety in the first quarter of 2018. This year, the scope of routine monitoring has been further expanded, with emphasis on increasing monitoring indicators that affect the quality and safety of agricultural products such as pesticides and veterinary antibiotics. The monitoring parameters increased from 94 in 2017 to 122 in 2018, and the scientificity and pertinence of monitoring were further enhanced. In the first quarter, a total of 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) and 5 cities with separate plans were monitored, 153 vegetable production bases in 153 large and medium-sized cities, 156 slaughterhouses for live pigs, 545 aquatic product transport vehicles or holding tanks. , 1494 agricultural product wholesale (farmers) markets and supermarkets, spot inspection of vegetables, fruits, livestock products and aquatic products and other 4 categories of 78 varieties of 9686 samples, monitoring 119 pesticides and veterinary drug residues and illegal additives parameters, overall sampling qualified The rate reached 97.3%. Among them, the qualified rate of sampling inspection of vegetables, fruits, livestock and poultry products and aquatic products was 96.2%, 96.9%, 98.3% and 98.6%, respectively. The quality, safety and security of agricultural products are steady and moderate.

 

From the monitoring varieties, the qualified rate of sampling of cabbage vegetables, edible fungi and melons among the 57 vegetables sampled at random was relatively high, which were 100%, 98.7% and 98.6%, respectively, and the qualified rate of sampling green leafy vegetables and legumes. They were 92.0% and 80.3% respectively. Among the six kinds of livestock and poultry products sampled, the pork, liver, and mutton were all qualified, and the sampling pass rates of poultry meat, beef, and poultry eggs were 99.0%, 98.0%, and 94.2%, respectively; Of the 13 aquatic products, tilapia, carp, carp, and carp were all qualified, and the eligible rates for Wuyi, Carp, and California carp were 96.9%, 96.7%, and 91.8%, respectively.

 

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has informed the monitoring results and asked the agricultural and rural departments in various regions to seriously implement various activities in the “Year of Agricultural Quality” and to carry out 8 major actions such as quality and safety monitoring of agricultural products and law enforcement, and follow-up on issues identified by monitoring. Carry out supervision and spot checks, investigate and punish unqualified products and production units according to law, and carry out special rectification actions such as pesticides and pesticide residues, veterinary antibacterial drugs, “lean meat essence” and “three fish and two medicines” for aquatic products, and increase administrative enforcement. The coordination of criminal justice shall be carried out to prevent and strictly control the quality and safety of agricultural products and ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products.
