The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has determined the continued use of the pyrethroid insecticide, cypermethrin, following a re-evaluation of the active ingredient.

An evaluation of available scientific information found that uses of cypermethrin products do not present unacceptable risks to human health or the environment when used according to the conditions of registration, including amended label directions. No products or uses are being cancelled as a result of this re-evaluation decision. Label amendments, as listed in Appendix III, are required for all technical and end-use products. No additional data are requested.

Cypermethrin is an insecticide registered for control of a broad spectrum of insect pests in a wide range of sites, including forests and woodlots, tobacco, industrial oilseed and fibre crops, various food and feed crops, livestock and non-crop industrial areas (roadsides).
