On September 1st, the Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Liaoning Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Shenyang Agricultural University jointly held a special “two reductions” project for the national key research and development program in Shenyang – “Northern rice fertilizer and pesticide reduction technology integration research and demonstration” and The “Fengfeng” special project – the “Integration and Demonstration of Rainfed Corn in Liaoning Semi-humid and Semi-humid Area, Mechanized High-yield Technology and Integration of Irrigation of Japonica Rice” was launched. These two projects are led by Liaoning Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Shenyang Agricultural University respectively. The centralized start of the project marks that the project has officially entered the implementation stage.
In recent years, the excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in rice production has led to the degradation of soil compaction and the large amount of pesticide residues, resulting in greater environmental pollution and a decline in the quality of agricultural products. The implementation of the “two reductions” major special project is a strategic measure to implement green development and build an ecological civilization. The “two reductions” and “granulations” projects will focus on issues, industries and users, effectively improve the technology availability rate, solve industrial bottlenecks in the project area, and lead and promote agricultural development through research, demonstration and transformation. The transformation of high quality and green development provides strong technical support for the implementation of national food security, ecological security and rural revitalization strategies.
The conference invited the academician Chen Wenfu of Shenyang Agricultural University and the academician of Guizhou University, Academician Song Baoan, and other well-known experts in the industry as the technical consultants of the project, and demonstrated the implementation plan of the project. The project host and the project leader reported on the specific implementation plan of the project and the project. The consulting expert group fully affirmed the scientific and rationality of the project and the implementation plan of each project, and put forward specific opinions and suggestions. More than 260 scientific and technical personnel from the agricultural research institutes in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Ningxia, and other agriculture-related high-tech enterprises, as well as China Agricultural University and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences attended the meeting.
