It is a consensus among representatives of the agrochemicals industry that the so-called PL of Pesticides should be approved during the first half of 2019. This is because the new legislation, which modernizes and makes more secure and agile registration of new molecules and technologies for plant defense in Brazil, has the support of the new president-elect, Jair Bolsonaro, as well as several deputies and senators elected in the October election.<\/p>\n
The party of President Bolsonaro, the PSL, elected no fewer than 52 federal deputies. Tereza Cristina (DEM-MS), president of the Parliamentary Front of the Agriculture and Livestock (FPA), confirmed the position in the Brazilian Congress as representative of the PL Pesticides’ own deputy, federal deputy Luiz Nishimori (PR-PR). Also, agronomist engineer Luis Carlos Heinze (PP), a fierce defender of the rural productive sector of the country, was elected to the senate.<\/p>\n
The Parliamentary Front of Agropecuaria published an official note on Monday (29.10) congratulating the Brazilian population on the result of this year’s elections: “To the elected president, Jair Bolsonaro (PSL), we want a good government, based on transparency, ethics, respect for the Federal Constitution and the commitments of Brazil. ”<\/p>\n
The group of parliamentarians identified with the agribusiness signaled in the official communiqu\u00e9 that it expects reciprocity. “We will be together in the reconstruction of the nation and in the recovery of our institutions, based on de-bureaucratization, sustainable growth and our main vocation, Brazilian farming. Good luck to all of us!” concluded the text, signed by Congresswoman Tereza Cristina, who is one of the main candidates to be appointed to the Ministry of Agriculture in 2019.<\/p>\n
