{"id":1057,"date":"2018-05-29T16:27:27","date_gmt":"2018-05-29T08:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.agrinoon.com\/agrochemicals\/?p=1057"},"modified":"2018-05-29T16:27:27","modified_gmt":"2018-05-29T08:27:27","slug":"argentinians-develop-biological-control-of-dichroplus-maculipennis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.agrinoon.com\/agrochemicals\/argentinians-develop-biological-control-of-dichroplus-maculipennis\/","title":{"rendered":"Argentinians develop biological control of dichroplus maculipennis"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The Ministry of Agribusiness of the Buenos Aires province, Argentina, signed a partnership agreement for collaboration between five municipalities for the development of a project on the biological control <em>dichroplus maculipennis<\/em> in the major endemic region of the province to reduce long-term incidence of the plague.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The signing of the agreement was headed by minister Leonardo Sarqu\u00eds. \u201cIt is a pilot test to combat <em>dichroplus maculipennis<\/em>. It is an absolutely innovative tool in Argentina that has been applied successfully in the United States and China. Today, we are using this in several municipalities. The goal, as our governor asks, is to go a step further,\u201d stressed Sarqu\u00eds.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The goal of the project is to produce spores of the pathogen in enough volumes to arrive with scale production in the field, in which the pathogen is required to create and reproduce healthy <em>dichroplus maculipennis<\/em> and inoculate with the pathogen for the latter to reproduce. Finally, the spores are extracted from the sick <em>dichroplus maculipennis<\/em> and stored for later application.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Provincial Enforcement Department highlighted that it was important to understand that \u201cthe result will be seen in the long-term and will complement the crop protection applications, once the applications shrink the population of <em>dichroplus maculipennis<\/em> in the infested fields.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In 2017, the province already had promoted a \u201cPrevention Program of <em>Dichroplus Maculipennis<\/em>,\u201d with the goal of achieving an early detection of the plague and its control on the part of producers.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Source: AgroNews<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Agribusiness of the Buenos Aires province, Argentina, signed a partnership agreement for collaboration between five municipalities for the development of a project on the biological control dichroplus maculipennis in the major endemic region of the province to reduce long-term incidence of the plague.
