Recently, the introduction and cultivation of winter jujube in Northwest A & F University were held in Wubei County, Shaanxi Province. Jujube is a native Chinese traditional specialty tree species, in northern Shaanxi has more than a thousand years of cultivation history, the current jujube cultivation area of nearly 2000000 acres. In recent years, influenced by many factors such as climate and market, the industry of red dates in northern Shaanxi is developing slowly and is in urgent need of transformation. Since 2013, Wang Youke has been cooperating with Wubao County Forestry Bureau in the trial introduction of winter jujube and has explored a meticulous management model mainly based on the regulation of water, fertilizer and pruning. In 2015, Wang has successfully demonstrated in Kawaguchi Village and finally succeeded . Demonstration Garden jujube this year can achieve 1200 kg per mu, per mu output value from 890 yuan to 7200 yuan, the water consumption is saved 83%.
Wang Youke said that the successful introduction of jujube in northern Shaanxi is of great significance. Due to the warm climate in Guanzhong, Dahidongzao is currently the earliest mature listed product in our country, and the maturity time of Zizyphus jujuba in northern Shaanxi is relatively late. The two are complementary to each other, which helps to prolong the maturity and sales period of Zizyphus jujuba in Shaanxi.
