Researchers at the Boyce Thompson Institute (BTI) and the Cornell University School of Integrative Plant Sciences section of plant pathology and plant-microbe biology, in collaboration with scientists at the University of Florida and North Carolina State University have received funding from the NSF Plant Genome Research Program to explore natural genetic variation in the tomato immune system and use this information for crop improvement. The total grant is $4,230,934 and runs from September 2016 to September 2020.
